O HORIZONTE PARCIAL EM DONNA HARAWAY

Abstract

The defense of an absence of epistemological value of gender, such as race and sexuality, as significant categories for scientific investigation places the white and male scientist in the insignia of the unmarked body, that is, his investigations do not bridge the gap with other fields, such as the politics. If there is a gender and/or race mark in science, then it is biased, becoming less scientific, or it loses scientific status by becoming something else. It is within these markings that I use the late 20th-century Anglophone feminist literature to situate what problems Donna Haraway intends to address in her proposal to redefine rationality and objectivity sustained in the epistemological defense of partial perspective. I use Haraway's writing in “Situated Knowledges” and Primate Visions to situate, in short, the author's necessary bridge between power, politics, and objectivity. I use the text “Located knowledge” as a central reference to situate, in short, the necessary bridge that Haraway makes between power, politics and objectivity.
