Abstract:

The 20th anniversary of the Mozambican Constitution of 2004 is the right moment for Mozambican society to assess the role and degree of importance of this diploma in the lives of citizens. This Constitution, symbolized more than a break with the previous normative order, it is the apex of a democratization cycle, it promoted significant changes in the legal, political, economic, social and cultural system, above all, it promoted a commitment to the establishment of a new country, more democratic, free, fair, solidary and egalitarian. The methodology applied to carry out the research had an exploratory nature, whose main sources of research were bibliographic, legislative and documentary, with emphasis on doctrinal matters already published such as books and scientific articles.
