INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCES IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:

THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PEDAGOGUE TEACHER IN PRACTICE

Abstract

This paper is an experience report articulated by two students with the support of a supervisor, in the construction and consolidation of classroom teaching activities. It is known that the internship in early childhood education is a fundamental practical experience for future educators, providing the opportunity to apply pedagogical theories in a real environment. In addition, interns learn to work as a team with other educators and to communicate effectively with families. This experience contributes to the formation of better prepared professionals, enabling them to deal with the challenges of early childhood education and to foster the integral development of children. Thus, by reporting our internship experiences, we hope to contribute to the expansion of the internship and the possible impacts for a teacher training focused on practice that favors not abandoning the profession after initial training in pedagogy.

Researcher at the Education and Drugs Research Group (UERJ/CNPq). Researcher at the Education Studies and Research Group in Paulo Freire (CERES-UFRN/CNPq). Coordinator of the Observatory of Policy and Education for Drugs in Abya Yala (OPEDAY).

Sâmia Lorena Oliveira Medeiros, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Undergraduate in Pedagogy at UFRN. Interested in areas related to Early Childhood Education and the use of technologies or media in education.

João Paulo Silveira de Medeiros, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte

Undergraduate in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Monitor and scholarship holder for three years in subjects and projects focused on Cognitive Neuroscience and Mathematical Education. Interested in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with an emphasis on Special and Inclusive Education.
